Vehicle Wraps & Protection for Carp
The full service menu for Carp and West Carleton
Carp sits in West Carleton about 40 km northwest of our Stevenage Drive studio, close to Kanata but rural in character: acreages, hobby farms, and the Carp Airport, with the Diefenbunker as the landmark most people know it by. That rural-adjacent-to-tech-corridor mix produces an unusual vehicle population: work trucks and trailers alongside the same premium vehicles you see in Kanata proper. The protection priorities differ sharply between those two groups, and everything below is available to either.
Car Wraps
Wraps for a rural-meets-Kanata vehicle mix
Carp's split personality shows up clearly in wrap requests: work vehicles wanting durable, practical finishes, and premium vehicles from the acreages wanting satin or colour-shift films that read as deliberate rather than loud. We handle both from the same catalogue of 3M and Avery Dennison materials (gloss, satin, matte, metallic, chrome, colour-shift), with hand-trimmed panels rather than pre-cut templates. On vehicles that see gravel driveways daily, we pay particular attention to edge sealing at the rockers and wheel arches, since that is where a lifting edge starts.
Paint Protection Film
Film for gravel driveways and unpaved concessions
This is the single most relevant service for Carp, and the reason is gravel. Unpaved driveways and concession roads mean stone contact is not an occasional highway event but a daily one, and it hits low and wide (rockers, lower doors, behind the wheel arches) as well as the usual front end. So PPF coverage recommendations here routinely extend past the standard front package. We install XPEL and 3M films with edges wrapped so no film line shows, warranted up to 10 years against yellowing, cracking, peeling, and staining, with a self-healing topcoat that closes fine swirls under heat.
Ceramic Coating
Ceramic against dust, sap, and hard water
Rural Carp properties bring three specific problems: airborne dust from gravel and fields, tree sap from mature growth on acreage lots, and well water that leaves hard mineral spotting after a home wash. Ceramic coating helps with all three by making the surface non-porous and slick, so sap and dust release before they bond and mineral deposits sit on top of the coating rather than etching clear coat. Packages are 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year, roughly $500 to $2,100 depending on vehicle size and paint condition, always after full decontamination and prep.
Window Tinting
Tinting for unshaded rural parking
Vehicles at Carp properties typically park in the open (no garage shade, no parkade), so the cumulative UV and heat load is higher than for an equivalent vehicle in the city. Ceramic film is the right specification for that: substantially more infrared rejection than dyed or carbon film at the same visible darkness, plus meaningful UV blocking that protects dashboards and upholstery over years, not just cabin comfort today. We install to the Ontario HTA requirements as we understand them and give you each film's visible-light figures up front, but these rules can change; please verify the current ones, since the darkness you choose is your decision. Generally $250 to $800. That comes in two grades here (ceramic and nano ceramic), and an open, unshaded property is the clearest case for stepping up to nano.
Please note: we install window film, we do not give legal advice. Tint regulations differ by province and can change, so we disclose each film’s visible light transmission figure and ask you to confirm the current requirements for the province your vehicle is registered in. The choice of tint darkness is yours. Full details in our window tint compliance policy.
Chrome Delete & Upgrades
Blackout trim on trucks and SUVs
Carp runs heavily to trucks and larger SUVs, which are exactly the vehicles where chrome delete makes the biggest visual difference: factory chrome on a pickup is often the single element that dates it. We black out grille bars, window surrounds, badges, bumper trim, and mirror caps in gloss or satin vinyl, all fully reversible. On work trucks the practical benefit is a bonus: blacked-out trim shows dust and road film less obviously than bright chrome does, which matters when the vehicle lives on a gravel driveway.
Commercial & Fleet
Fleet work for West Carleton trades and aviation
West Carleton supports a substantial trades population (excavation, landscaping, agricultural services, construction), plus the businesses operating around Carp Airport. These are vehicles working a wide, dispersed territory where a wrap is often the most effective advertising available. We do single vehicles through full fleets with strict colour matching across the group, and we build layouts that stay legible on a dirty vehicle, which is a genuine design constraint for trucks working unpaved sites rather than an afterthought.
Tesla, EV & Luxury
Work trucks, trailers, and Kanata-corridor EVs
Carp's specialty work splits two ways. Work trucks and trailer rigs need protection concentrated where loading and towing contact happens: tailgate, rear bumper, lower rear quarters, and the panels a trailer tongue swings near. Meanwhile the Kanata tech corridor's influence means plenty of Teslas and other EVs on Carp acreages, where the priorities invert toward careful film work around sensors and camera housings, attention to the thin factory finishes several EV models use, and gravel-appropriate lower-body coverage that a purely urban EV would not need.
Getting Here
Booking from Carp
From Carp, Carp Road south to Highway 417 eastbound, then east across the city to the Innes Road and Stevenage Drive area, roughly 40 to 45 minutes depending on when you hit the 417 through the core. Carp Road to the 417 is the quick part; the cross-city leg is what varies. We consolidate multi-service bookings into one drop-off where cure times permit so the trip is worth making once.
