Professional Ceramic & Nano Ceramic Tint Installation

Professional window tinting installation in Ottawa

Window Tinting

Reduce heat, block UV rays, and enhance privacy with professional-grade window films installed by certified technicians.

We carry two films and no others: ceramic and nano ceramic. Both block 99% of harmful UV rays (protecting your skin and your interior from fading) and neither contains metal, so signal transparency is never a compromise. Nano ceramic is the stronger of the two, rejecting up to 85% of infrared heat. We deliberately do not stock dyed or carbon film: both purple, bubble and fade, and neither holds clarity or colour the way ceramic does. Every installation is precision-cut using digital templates for your exact make and model, ensuring clean edges with no gaps or overlaps.

What a Tint Install Looks Like

A Tesla Model 3 in our bay: clear glass before, the film going down, and the film minutes after it went on. Our own photos, not a supplier's.

During the install

The film is worked against the glass by hand, squeegee pass by squeegee pass, until every drop of solution is out.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does window tinting cost in Ottawa?
Window tinting at Wrap Senators in Ottawa ranges from $250 to $800 depending on vehicle size, number of windows, and which of our two films you choose. Ceramic tint is the more accessible of the two; nano ceramic costs more for its higher infrared rejection. Windshield strips start at $50 and sunroofs at $100. Every quote includes the visible light transmission figure for the film you are considering, and we would rather you call to confirm it; there is often a better price available than the range on this page.
Is window tinting legal in Ontario?
Window film is legal in Ontario, but it is regulated, and the requirements differ by window and can be amended over time. Wrap Senators installs film rather than giving legal advice, so we do not state what the current limits are: instead we give you the measured visible light transmission figure for every film we carry and ask you to confirm the current requirements before choosing. For the authoritative position, consult the Highway Traffic Act, the Ministry of Transportation, or your own legal adviser. The choice of tint darkness is the customer's decision.
What type of window tint is best?
We carry two films and no others. Ceramic tint blocks up to 99% of UV rays, delivers strong infrared heat rejection, and contains no metal, so it never interferes with GPS, phone signals, or satellite radio. Nano ceramic is the step up: the same UV blocking with the highest infrared rejection we offer and the best optical clarity, which is what most Ottawa drivers choose for a vehicle that sits in the sun. We do not sell dyed or carbon film, because both fade and neither performs like ceramic.
How long does window tinting take?
Most tint jobs are done the same day, with most vehicles completed in 2 to 3 hours: drop off in the morning, drive home tinted. More windows and steeper glass mean more time, so a full vehicle takes longer than a pair of front doors. Everything is installed at our Ottawa studio at 2415 Stevenage Dr, and we confirm your timeline when you book.
How long does window tint last, and what warranty comes with it?
A quality ceramic or nano ceramic film typically lasts 5 to 10 years, less if the vehicle lives a hard outdoor life. The film itself carries a lifetime warranty, and our installation is covered by our 5-year workmanship warranty. The film will tell you when it is done: bubbling, peeling edges, or colour shift means replacement, not repair.
What aftercare does window tint need, and when can I roll the windows down?
Keep the windows up for 3 to 7 days while the fresh film cures, depending on the film and the weather, and give it the long end of that range in the cold half of the year; we confirm the exact timing for your installation when you pick the vehicle up. The film goes on wet and can look uneven at first; it dries on its own to an even, factory-look finish. Once it has cured, clean with gentle products and soft cloths, keep anything abrasive away from the film, and never run an ice scraper across the inside of the glass.
What is the difference between ceramic and nano ceramic tint?
Both are true ceramic films: each blocks up to 99% of UV rays and contains no metal, so GPS, phone signals and satellite radio are never affected. Nano ceramic is the step up: it rejects up to 85% of infrared heat, the most we offer, with the best optical clarity we carry, day and night, and it costs more for it. Ceramic is our accessible option; nano ceramic is what most Ottawa drivers choose for a vehicle that sits in the sun. Ask about either film and you get its exact visible light transmission figure: the darkness you choose is your decision.
