Judging the work
How to tell a good wrap from a photogenic one
Almost any wrap photographs well on the day it is finished. If you are choosing between shops, the things worth examining are the ones a wide, well-lit shot will never settle, so here is what we would look at, and what we are happy to show you in person.
Start at the edges. Door handles, mirror caps, bumper vents and the lip of the trunk are compound curves, and they are where film lifts first. A pre-cut kit stops a few millimetres short and leaves a visible border; we do not use kits, so every seam is hand-trimmed and tucked behind the panel edge. At a panel gap you should see the film disappear rather than stop.
Then check consistency across panels. Satin and matte finishes shift with viewing angle, so a hood and a fender seen together will expose any mismatch in film batch or application temperature. On chrome-delete work, look at the window surrounds: the fiddliest trim on any vehicle to do without a seam.
Ask how it is finished, not just how it looks. Proper post-heat is what activates the adhesive and sets the tucked edges, and skipping it is invisible on handover and obvious a year later. Our eight-step process sets out where that happens, and the work carries a five-year workmanship warranty installed by 3M- and Avery Dennison-certified technicians.
What no photograph can show is how the work ages. The difference between a good wrap and an average one shows up in years three to five, which is why materials and finish choice matter more than styling. Our guides on how long a wrap lasts and living with matte versus gloss cover what actually drives that.
Want to see a particular combination: your model, a specific satin colour on a dark vehicle, a fleet livery at scale? Ask us, and come and look at samples against your own paint in daylight. Half an hour in the studio settles more than any gallery can. The video gallery below is worth a look too, since film shows movement and reflection in a way stills cannot, which matters for colour-shift and satin finishes.
