Vehicle Wraps & Protection for Canotek Industrial Park

Contractor and specialty-trade vehicles in Ottawa's east end

Canotek Park sits north of Innes between Blair and Montreal Road, a compact industrial estate of contractors, specialty fabricators, equipment suppliers, and small manufacturers. It differs from the larger corridors nearby in scale: businesses here tend to run two to six vehicles rather than twenty, often owner-operated, and the person deciding on a wrap is usually the person who drives the vehicle. That changes the conversation: decisions are quick, but the budget is personal, so the value has to be concrete rather than aspirational.

Car Wraps

Wraps for small operators where the vehicle is the business

When a company owns three vehicles, each one is a visible share of the brand, and a mismatched or faded unit undercuts the other two. The practical approach for operators this size is to plan the whole set at once even when the work happens over months: agree the layout and the material now, then apply it as budget allows, with the specification held on file so unit three matches unit one a year later. That is a different service from a one-off cosmetic wrap and it is what most Canotek clients actually need. Materials are 3M and Avery Dennison across the full finish range, hand-trimmed rather than template-cut, post-heated to manufacturer specification.

Paint Protection Film

Film for vehicles that visit construction and industrial sites

Contractor and fabricator vehicles based here spend their days on active sites: unpaved access roads, gravel staging areas, and lots strewn with the debris that construction generates. The damage that results is coarse and low-level rather than dramatic: stone pitting along rockers and lower doors, scuffing where materials are loaded across a bumper or tailgate, and abrasion at the tailgate top from repeated contact with sheet goods and tools. Coverage should follow that, so we weight lower body, tailgate edge, and bumper top over hood and mirrors. It is unglamorous specification but it is where these vehicles actually lose value. XPEL and 3M, edges wrapped, warranted up to ten years.

Ceramic Coating

Coating against industrial fallout and construction dust

Vehicles working out of this park collect a specific kind of contamination: fine concrete and masonry dust, metal particulate from fabrication yards, and the general industrial fallout that settles on anything parked in an estate like this. Left on paint that dust holds moisture against the surface and, in the case of metal fines, will rust in place and stain clear coat. Ceramic coating gives a non-porous barrier those particles cannot key into, so they rinse off rather than bond, and it makes the difference between a vehicle that cleans up and one that develops a permanent grey cast. Packages are 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year, roughly $500 to $2,100 after full decontamination and prep.

Window Tinting

Tinting for equipment left in the cab

The practical driver here is not comfort but the contents of the vehicle. Trades and supplier vehicles carry tools, instruments, laptops, and materials that sit in a cab parked in open sun on a site or in the yard, and heat degrades adhesives, batteries, and calibrated equipment as readily as it fades a dashboard. Ceramic film rejects considerably more infrared energy than dyed or carbon film at the same visible darkness, which is the specification that matters when the goal is protecting what is inside. On regulation: we are installers, not legal advisers. We disclose each film's visible light transmission figure and ask you to confirm the requirements currently applying to your province of registration; the choice of darkness is yours to make. Two grades are available, ceramic and nano ceramic, and for a vehicle whose cargo is the point we usually recommend the nano grade for its higher infrared rejection.

Please note: we install window film, we do not give legal advice. Tint regulations differ by province and can change, so we disclose each film’s visible light transmission figure and ask you to confirm the current requirements for the province your vehicle is registered in. The choice of tint darkness is yours. Full details in our window tint compliance policy.

Chrome Delete & Upgrades

Trim work with a practical rather than cosmetic case

On a work truck, blacking out factory brightwork is partly aesthetic and partly maintenance: chrome that has already begun to pit or cloud from salt exposure looks worse than dark vinyl, and the vinyl also seals the chrome-to-paint transition where corrosion typically starts. We cover window surrounds, grille bars, badges, mirror caps, and roof rails in gloss or satin, fully reversible. For a small operator the appeal is that it visually unifies a mismatched pair of vehicles bought years apart far more cheaply than repainting or replacing trim, which is the most common reason it gets requested here.

Commercial & Fleet

Branding for two-to-six vehicle operations

Most fleet advice assumes twenty vehicles and a marketing department. At this scale the design has to work harder with less: the vehicle is often the only advertising the business does, so it needs to state the trade unmistakably and give one way to make contact. We push against listing every service offered, because a panel crowded with eight lines communicates nothing at speed. We also design for partial application, since a decal-and-panel package on a good-condition vehicle frequently makes better commercial sense than a full wrap for an operator this size, and we will say so rather than quoting the larger job by default.

Tesla, EV & Luxury

Trailers, equipment, and non-vehicle surfaces

The request that comes disproportionately from this park is work on things that are not cars. Enclosed trailers, job-site boxes, compressor units, and equipment panels all take vinyl, and for a contractor a branded trailer parked at a site for three weeks generates far more visibility than the truck that towed it. Those surfaces need different handling (riveted and corrugated panels, mixed substrates, and existing decals to remove), so we quote them on inspection rather than by area. We also do the ordinary EV work as suppliers here electrify their light vehicles, with the usual attention to sensor housings and thin factory finishes.

Getting Here

Booking from Canotek Industrial Park

From Canotek Road, south to Innes then east to Stevenage Drive, or via Blair Road to the 417, typically twelve to eighteen minutes. It is close enough that owners routinely drop in to look at material samples in daylight before committing, which we encourage: film choices that look identical on a screen behave very differently on a curved panel in sun.
